UberRaum Architects have just finished their latest project in Germany – the new headquarters and production facilities for automotive supplier ‘Haas Technik’.
The building is located in the breathtaking landscape of the Black Forest and was designed in large parts as a modular project, using BIM technology by us, the local engineers and the contractor.
For the client, a ‘clear and welcoming’ design was important to reflect the brand’s identity and it was an absolute pleasure to work closely with the Haas family to deliver their new flagship building.

UberRaum Architects are proud to announce their ISO 9001:2015 certification, acknowledging our commitment to providing excellent client services.
This has been awarded across all our services, including Chartered Architecture, Strategic Design, Planning, Contract Administration, Due Diligence & Project Management.
Specifically, to become ISO 9001 compliant, we have been independently assessed by The British Assessment Bureau, against internationally recognized standards showing our commitment to quality and assurance. Additionally, this process required examining and documenting all of our processes and making sure through internal audits that processes are predictable and consistent.
A big thank you to our dedicated team, led by Rebecca Martin, for this major achievement.
We are also very grateful to our clients Bundesbau BaWü, Tempelhof Projekt Berlin and Healthcare provider Medneo. Their fantastic projects have allowed us to make this step as their trusted partners.
Our team is currently designing a triplex-apartment in Chelsea to become a fantastic family home.
With living spaces arranged over three different levels and centred around a central light-canyon, the new focal point is a feature staircase leading to a tranquil roof garden with views all over West London.
Working on the project during the lockdown has been a very positive experience. It’s great to see that everybody is so committed, making the best of the situation – including all our collaborators!
A big thank you to everybody involved!
Just days before the Corona lockdown we finished our first Healthcare project in Central London.
UberRaum Architects were appointed by Medneo to design and project-manage their first medical hub on Great Portland Street.
Medneo is one of Europe’s biggest MRI service providers with centres already established in Germany, Holland & Switzerland.
Sinking our teeth into Healthcare architecture certainly was a new experience and proved to be very rewarding.
A big ’THANK YOU’ to a great client lead by Daniel Sievritts, to Siemens UK for helping us to understand the complexities of an MRI scanner and especially to an amazing project team, lead by Rhona McQuade.
We are pleased to announce that we have been granted planning permission by Westminster Council for the renovation of the German Embassy in Belgrave Square! A big thank you to all members of the team;
Gardiner & Theobald, The Morton Partnership, Martin Thomas Associates, Tricon, DPA Lighting, Sweco, and all others involved.
We are very excited to start works on the building later this year!
Das Haus, one of the biggest German-language architecture magazines, has featured the Cloud Cuckoo House on its front cover and as its lead story. The magazine is available in kiosks in all German-speaking countries; within its pages you can read how it is to live within this Black Forest home four years on from its completion.
Markus has given a lecture at an BMWi (The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) event in London – talking about UberRaum’s project with the German Film and Television Academy at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin.
A big thank you to the organisers and the IPA!
