Simit Sarayı, Turkey’s largest bakery chain, is to hit the UK this year. With 50 outlets planned across the country, the fast-growing bagel manufacturer will open its first UK-store on Oxford Street, central London, before Christmas. As their appointed UK Architect ÜberRaum has been contracted to design and fit-out their flagship unit at Bond Street Station. Get ready to taste authentic mouth-watering Simit from Anatolia!

We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2015 for our refurbishment of the ZDF TV-Studio in London. The project involved the strip-out, renovation and contemporary fit-out of a Grade II listed building next to Buckingham Palace for one of Germany’s largest television broadcaster. It has stricken judges as an outstanding and pioneering scheme of exceptional value to German and international design. Winners will be announced in autumn 2014.

The German Government has appointed ÜberRaum to become their Asset Management Architects on their UK property portfolio. This highly responsible position includes strategic advice, building management and overseeing construction work in their UK buildings, including the Ambassador’s Residence and Embassy Buildings on Belgrave Square, and the German School in Richmond.
