NLA exhibition, London: Design Capital

ÜberRaum Architects have three projects featured in London: Design Capital, the new NLA exhibition which explores the global reach of London’s built environment industries.

This exhibition is the outcome of a new NLA Insight Study. A two-month programme of events taking place for the duration of the exhibition will further explore key themes, forming a core part of the NLA International Dialogues programme.

One of our three projects featured is Mountain Villa Resort, a scheme consiting of 70 mountainside homes as part of a new landscaped development, set in a stunning mountain setting in Gabala, a city in the north Azerbaijan mountains.

The second project Baku Old Town House, is a full refirbishment of the Old Town Residence. Clad in bronze, the rooftop pavilion’s surface reflects sunlight seen across its UNESCO World Heritage Site surroundings. Its sculptural form provides dramatic views, while clearly expressing the contemporary addition to the historic building.

Our final project featured in the NLA exhibition is Cloud Cuckoo House. Located in the Black Forest, Germany, Cloud Cuckoo sits at an altitude of 800m above sea level. When fog drifts into the valley, the home for a young family floats above the clouds, with a magical view across the fairytale landscape of the Upper-Rhine area.

The Exhibition is held at The Building Centre, WC1E 7BT

Wed 17 May – Fri 7 July

Event Time: Start Time: 09:00 – End Time: 18:00

To book a ticket please visit LONDON: DESIGN CAPITAL website.
